Disaster Assistance Training

The Safety Assessment Program (SAP), managed by Cal OES in collaboration with professional organizations, leverages volunteers and mutual aid resources to provide professional engineers, architects, and certified building inspectors to assist local governments in evaluating the safety of the built environment following a disaster. Upon successful completion of the program, Cal OES Recovery SAP issues registration ID cards to all qualified evaluators.
Eric Miller, AIA, of SGA Design Group, is a certified SAP Trainer and will lead the training session.
Architects, engineers, and building officials will receive their CAL-EMA SAP Training Certification. Others are welcome to attend and may be assigned to support teams during disaster response efforts.
