Kathryn is a licensed architect, educator, and design researcher focused on translating research into meaningful design practice. As an architect with Guernsey and an adjunct faculty member at Lawrence Technological University, she works at the intersection of architecture, environmental psychology, and Trauma-informed Design, exploring how the built environment influences human experience and wellbeing. She leads the credentialing program with the Trauma-informed Design Society, advancing Trauma-informed Design education for professionals worldwide. Through practice, teaching, and research, Kathryn advocates for evidence-informed, human-centered design approaches that bridge the gap between what we know and what we build.
